We will start in Kota Kinabalu in the Malaysian state of Sabah in eastern Borneo and we will conclude in Kuala Lumpur after exploring Fraser’s Hill near the country’s capital.

Description

Our guided tour departs from Kota Kinabalu and ends in Kuala Lumpur and will visit some of Malaysia’s best birding locations, including Danum Valley, Mount Kinabalu, Kinabatangan River and Fraser’s Hill.

Malaysia is loaded with spectacular endemics, dense forests mountains and extremely unique wildlife! We will partake in both land-based and river excursions to maximise our birding opportunities.

What species can be spotted?

Malaysia is home to a very diverse set of birds and some of the species to be encountered on this tours are Sunda Frogmouth, Sunda Scops-Owl, Bornean Barbet, Mountain Barbet, Borean Bristlehead, Bornean Bulbul, Borean Shortwing, Bornean Treepie, Hooded Pitta, Red-Naped Trogon, Rufous Piculet, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Black & Red Broadbill, Bornean Banded Kingfisher and Large Frogmouth.
